The Portland Metro Concert Band is an adult band comprised of musicians who enjoy playing music. Members range from college students to retired professionals. The PMCB was formed in 1992 by well known band directors, Fev Pratt and Jay Burchak. The current directors are Jay Burchak and Jack Mahoney.

The PMCB performs at community events, schools, and retirement centers. A major event for the band each year is participation in the statewide "Oregon Adult Band Festival".

The band also presents two formal concerts each year, usually scheduled in December or January and in May. These free concerts are held at the Horner Perfoming Arts Center at David Douglas High School, on SE 130th between Stark and Division Streets.

Current members represent diverse backgrounds, from music educator to accountant, to computer analyst, to physician, to law enforcement officer. Several have resumed playing after as much as a 25 year break. Many have played together, on and off, for many years in both amateur and professional settings.
